OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

We are PTG Food

Reza Cockrell

Group Managing Director, Pacific Tiger Group

Reza was raised in Hong Kong and was educated at Johns Hopkins University (International studies) and London School of Economics (Accounting & Finance). An experienced executive, Reza worked at Jardine Matherson in various management capacities before joining PTG in 2013.

Reza’s favourite food is Malaysian Assam Laksa. Reza is your typical “third culture kid”. Born in Saudi Arabia to a Malay mother and mixed Caucasian and Chinese father, Reza was raised in Hong Kong before attending Johns Hopkins University to study International Studies and London School of Economics to study Accounting & Finance. An experienced executive, Reza worked at Jardine Matheson in various management capacities before joining PTG in 2013.

Reza’s love for food was sparked from the cultural melting pot of his hometown of Penang, Malaysia, and this was further enhanced by his love of travel and exploration.

Reza is passionate about the natural world, being a keen SCUBA diver, sailor and hiker, and holds positions as the founder The Habitat Foundation and Trustee of WWF Hong Kong. His favourite meal is homemade Nasi Lemak, with all the trimmings.

Judy Kwan

Group Finance Director, Pacific Tiger Group

Judy was born Hong Kong and educated in Vancouver, Canada. She worked for Revenue Canada before Joining PTG in 1994. Her various roles in accounting, finance and administration culminated in her appointment as Group Investment Director in 2019.

Judy’s love of food came from her grandma and mum, who showered their family with love by cooking up secret recipes. It’s no surprise that her favourite meal is anything created in a hot pot because it gives people a chance to gather around with loved ones. If she had to choose her last meal it would be Alaska King Crab, which she said is a family favourite.

Jonathan Lau

Group Investment Director, Pacific Tiger Group

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Jonathan completed his education in the USA. He studied at the University of Southern California – Marshall School of Business and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. Prior to joining PTG Food in 2020, he held positions at BNP Paribas, Deephaven Capital Management, Tiger Group Investments and The Family Office Company.

Jonathan’s favourite foods are ramen and pasta. When you ask him – “Why do I love food? Because it is my escape. It brings me back to a place I’ve been or to a place I want to go.”

Allan MacDonald

Chief Executive Officer, PTG Food

Allan is a resident of New Zealand with extensive business leadership experience in multinational corporate and privately owned businesses globally. He has expertise in fresh produce and food manufacturing, distribution and importing and exporting across global markets. Allan grew up eating magnificent food, thanks to his mother and grandmother’s excellent cooking.

He believes that the secret to creating good food comes down to fantastic ingredients and know-how, handed down over generations. A fresh food aficionado, Allan’s last meal would be salmon and tuna sashimi, fresh crisp salad greens, avocado and a runny poached egg. All followed by a bowl of his beloved ice cream, of course.

Alyssa Cockrell

Director, PTG Food

Alyssa is a resident of Shanghai, a passionate foodie with extensive experience in sales and marketing in the highly competitive Chinese market. She is a specialist with expertise in the hospitality, bakery, and retail food industries.

As a food lover, Alyssa’s favourite foods range from pizza to Japanese, but she particularly loves miso cod bento and her most favourite dish is Gindara Bento. “How did my love for food start? That’s easy – holiday’s in Malaysia at my Grandmother’s house! She was top class chef, and very popular in the village!”
